Can HubSpot integrate with WhatsApp?

Updated · By the salestrack team

Short answer

Yes. HubSpot connects a WhatsApp Business account to its conversations inbox, but only on Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise plans. You need a Meta business account and a WhatsApp business number, and messages after the 24-hour window must use approved templates. On other plans, teams use a third-party WhatsApp tool that syncs with HubSpot.

HubSpot can connect to WhatsApp, and conversations then appear in HubSpot's shared inbox next to email and chat. The catch is the plan: HubSpot's own integration needs a Professional or Enterprise tier of Marketing Hub or Service Hub. Facts below come from HubSpot's website and knowledge base, checked 1 November 2026.

What you need for HubSpot's WhatsApp integration

  • Plan: Marketing Hub or Service Hub, Professional or Enterprise.
  • Account: a WhatsApp Business account through Meta. Personal WhatsApp accounts cannot be connected. HubSpot says a verified Meta Business Manager is needed to go beyond 50 business-initiated conversations a day.
  • Number: one that can receive voice calls and is not behind an IVR. HubSpot says it must not already be linked to another integration; for using the WhatsApp Business app on the same number, it points to a separate guide.

What it does, and its limits

  • WhatsApp chats in the shared conversations inbox, with automated messages triggered by customer actions and messaging analytics.
  • Free-form replies only within 24 hours of the customer's last message; after that, you must send an approved template.
  • Up to 25 phone numbers per WhatsApp Business account, according to HubSpot's knowledge base, which also lists other usage limits.
  • Only new messages sync. Old WhatsApp history is not imported.

Meta's own charges apply on top of HubSpot's subscription: Meta charges per delivered message, by the recipient's country and the message category.

Your options

OptionGood fit when
HubSpot's own WhatsApp integrationYou already pay for Marketing or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise
A WhatsApp platform that syncs with HubSpot (for example Wati, which lists HubSpot on its Pro plan)You use HubSpot for CRM but are on a lower tier, or want broadcasting and chatbots from a WhatsApp specialist
A WhatsApp-first CRM such as salestrack (our product)WhatsApp is your main sales channel and you do not need HubSpot's email, CMS or service desk

When salestrack fits better

HubSpot is the stronger choice if you need an all-in-one suite with email marketing, CMS and a service desk. salestrack suits teams whose sales happen mostly on WhatsApp: a shared WhatsApp inbox, lead routing, follow-ups and cost per customer by Meta ad, starting free (WhatsApp is on paid plans; see pricing). Some teams use salestrack for WhatsApp sales and keep other tools for email. See salestrack vs HubSpot.

Related questions

Is the HubSpot WhatsApp integration free?

Not on HubSpot's free tools. HubSpot says you need the Professional or Enterprise version of Marketing Hub or Service Hub. Meta also charges for WhatsApp messages, by country and message category.

Can I use the same number in the WhatsApp Business app and HubSpot?

HubSpot's product page says you can reply from either HubSpot or the WhatsApp Business app on the same number, with conversations syncing. Its knowledge base points to a separate guide for this setup, so follow it rather than connecting a number already linked elsewhere.

Can HubSpot send WhatsApp messages to customers first?

Yes, using approved WhatsApp message templates. HubSpot's knowledge base says business-initiated messages, and any message after the 24-hour session closes, must use one of your templates.

What is the best WhatsApp integration for HubSpot?

If you already pay for a Professional hub, try HubSpot's own integration first. Otherwise, compare WhatsApp platforms that list a HubSpot integration, such as Wati (on its Pro plan), and check what data syncs both ways.

Does HubSpot import my old WhatsApp chats?

No. HubSpot's knowledge base says only new messages sync after you connect; earlier conversations are not imported.
